Microwave sickness is becoming more common as wireless radiation exposure increases in our environment. FCC safety guidelines are inadequate & do not protect public health. They do not consider long-term exposure to pulsed modulated non-ionizing wireless radiation at non-thermal levels. Cumulative daily radiation exposure is associated with serious health effects. This I know.

"We're kind of... flying blind here, as far as health and safety is concerned."
Actually... not "blind" when you take into consideration the studies that have been done using millimeter waves and wireless microwave radio frequency radiation:
And that is just a small fraction of studies done showing biological effects from wireless microwave radio frequency radiation. There are literally thousands...
So we're not kind of flying blind here.
What IS happening is the Federal Communications Commission and the Food and Drug Administration, those who are supposed to protect public health and public safety, are blatantly disregarding the evidence of harm.
There's no question that the "possibility" of harm exists with wireless radiofrequency radiation. 5G infrastructure with perhaps hundreds of thousands of new small cell antennas installed just about everywhere, including in front of our homes, increases that "possibility" exponentially.
To the City Commissioners of Battle Creek, on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, I said:
I am one who became very sick
from pulsed microwave radiation. My
symptoms began before knowing that radiation emitting public utility meters had
been installed.
Since connecting my symptoms
with the radiation emitting public utility meters, I've been researching this
subject.
I've seen 100's of video
testimonies of perhaps 1000's of people, from New York state to California, and many points in-between, and it's so interesting,
because we don't know each other, but we are all saying the same or similar things, to people like you: city commissions, state governments, public utility commissions.
I'm not the only one to
experience a plethora of symptoms, the most common being: Insomnia, heart
palpitations, anxiety and stress, unusual headaches, rashes, muscle cramps and
twitches, extreme fatigue, balance problems and other neurological issues.
And I'm not the only one who
began to improve after radiation emitting public utility meters were either
removed, or shielded.
I'm not the only one to ask
for proof of safety or data results from human safety testing with pulsed
microwave radiation emitting public utility meters, to no avail from people
like you.
I'm not the only one to quote
valiant doctors, medical professionals, scientists, engineers, electricians,
and other professionals who are the first in the world to
speak out against all of this wireless radiation we've suddenly been exposed
to.
I'm not the only one to ask
for a halt to smart meter installations based upon not only my experience, but
1000's of published peer-reviewed studies that prove biological harm is being
done by the pulsed microwave radiation from new public utility meters.
And unfortunately, and
astonishingly, you are not the only ones to take little or no meaningful action in
response to requests from people like me.
During Commission Comments, Commissioner Gray once again brought up documentation the City of Battle Creek has regarding smart meters. The City Manager indicated they had already provided everything they have. Everything they have does not include human safety testing with smart meters, or any actual safety testing, at all. After the Commission meeting, Commissioner Gray was walking by me, so I stopped her and told her that all the information the City had forwarded to me was inconclusive, and that there has been no human safety testing done with smart meters. Her response was something about agreeing to disagree.
The above video is from the December 2, 2014 Michigan Oversight Committee Hearing on smart meters, and was apparently the last time public testimony about health complaints from smart meters was allowed in Michigan. About 200 people spoke against smart meters at this one hearing, most of them citing health complaints that began after smart meter installation. The woman who begins speaking at about 9 minutes in had a very similar experience as myself and countless others, not just in the United States, but from all over the world. Many people worldwide are talking about negative health experiences after smart meter installation. If you only listen to a few minutes of the above video, I suggest listening to the woman who starts speaking at about 40 minutes in, Cynthia Edwards, who quotes Linda Kurtz from the Smart Meter Education Network in Michigan. Linda has spoken with numerous people regarding health effects from smart meters, and we're all saying the same, or very similar things. Yet utility companies continue to install smart meters, or shut-off power, water, or natural gas if we don't want their smart meter or their unsafe opt-out meter. Smart meters add to unnecessary non-ionizing microwave radiofrequency radiation in our environment. We have not gone one generation with this level of man-made radiation, which is why it seems to me that health impacts people are experiencing right now need to be recognized if we are to avoid a potential health crisis. Remember, it was "fringe" doctors who first started saying that cigarette smoking may be harmful to health. Now there are "fringe" doctors, scientists, engineers, and other professionals warning us about adverse health impacts from wireless radiation. How long will we stay in denial about it?

The following is my three minute comment to the City of Battle Creek, City Commission, on Tuesday, February 2, 2016:
In July of last year, I stood before you and demanded a public hearing before any ordinance or anything was passed that would force smart meters upon water customers. Instead of making smart meters mandatory, you passed a Resolution establishing an uncapped monthly charge for water customers who do not want a smart meter. This Resolution was introduced and passed without a public hearing.
Research on the biological effects of long-term exposure to non-thermal radiation, the form of radio frequency radiation we are being exposed to by the City's new water meters, is relatively new.
Wireless industry funded studies show less often, while independently funded studies show more often than not, that biological harm is being done by your smart meter's non-thermal radiation. The Bioelectromagnetic Society, established in 1978, has been studying long-term effects of non-thermal radiation, and have found, "rigorous and repeatable evidence for non-thermal physiological effects and hazards including potential carcinogenicity," Larry Burk, MD, CEHP. Actual DNA damage has been documented by Dr. Henry Lai in the BioInitiative 2012 Report. And Dr. Albert Manville, Adjunct Professor at Johns Hopkins University, Senior Wildlife Biologist, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and one of the signatories on the Appeal warning the World Health Organization and United Nations of the emerging public health crisis from wireless technology, including the non-ionizing radiation from your smart meters, wrote:
“While we like our electronic gadgets, the worldwide demand for these technologies of convenience only grows, as do the gargantuan profits that come from selling the devices and their services. While human health and safety continue to be dismissed by many, growing scientific evidence is showing a dark side to cell phone, WiFi, smart meter and point-to-point technologies." He then goes on to talk about migratory birds and how they, "now appear to be negatively affected by non-ionizing radiation."
So the question is, who are you going to believe? Those who stand to profit from smart meters? Or those who have nothing to gain except public health?

When you said "yes"
to smart meters, did you realize you were taking away our freedom of choice in
regards to being exposed to wireless technology?
Did you realize that you were
denying us a democratic process with public awareness and public input on what
you were planning on doing?
Did you realize that some
people were ALREADY avoiding or limiting exposure to electromagnetic fields
because of KNOWN sensitivities?
Did you realize that some men,
women, and children were having immediate and severe adverse health reactions
after smart meter installation?
We used to think lead paint
was safe, and asbestos, and smoking cigarettes.
Medical doctors used to ADVERTISE cigarettes! That is, until nay-sayers started to
surface.
Those who profited from lead
paint, asbestos, and cigarette sales scrambled for evidence that their products
were safe.
You have scrambled to find
information about smart meters and safety.
With lead paint, asbestos,
and cigarette smoking, eventually the actual documented proof of harm could not
be denied, and was finally accepted.
Proof of harm done by smart
meters has also been documented. There
are 1000's and 1000's of case studies done by independent medical doctors and
scientists who have nothing to gain EXCEPT PUBLIC HEALTH.
They claim we are headed
toward a public health crisis in regards to our exposure to wireless radiation, including smart meters.
I
KNOW the harm because I experience it.
We have not gone ONE
generation with all these cell towers, antennas, cell phones, smart meters
& other wireless gadgets, INCLUDING baby monitors. We have not gone one generation with baby monitors.
If you are to error in
regards to Public Health in Battle Creek, is it not best you error on the side of caution?
It's a matter of
freedom... HEALTH freedom. Having to pay for that freedom,
is not free.

A few other people complained about the new "smart" radio transmitting water meters. And one woman threatened the City with a Class Action Lawsuit. There was quite a bit of discussion among the Commissioners and the City Manager at the end of the meeting regarding the new utility meters and what the City of Battle Creek Water Department has done in regards to lack of notifications to customers before installations.
